The data from the darknet shows that purchasing of a someone’s identity to make more bank accounts/credit cards/access points to finances is worth more than the average users credit cards.

A sad statement on the average person’s finances or an example of the narrow focus we have as the consumer who’s credit card was compromised?  It makes sense to me that, the ability to open 3-7 new credit cards would be worth more than the balance in one card’s bank account or available charge balance.  Plus the wide range of uses, like selling to someone who’s looking to make fake amazon.com review accounts and boost their legal sales.
